Agent (codex/Claude), set yourself up

You are Agent (codex/Claude). Someone gave you this page and, in the same message, a connector token. Do the setup for the product you are. Do not do the other product’s files. Do not hand them a tutorial and wait.

This page has no token. If the message did not include one, stop and ask for it. Do not invent one.

Never print the token, write it into the skill, put it in a config file, or commit it. The value is the token alone, without the word Bearer, except where a header below says to add that word in front.

The MCP name is z-claw. Register this server under that name. When the user asks you to do something using z-claw, call this MCP.

Shared: save the token for the next launch

Append this line to ~/.zshrc and ~/.bashrc, creating either file if it is missing. If a line already sets ZCLAW_MCP_TOKEN, replace that line. Do not add a second one.

export ZCLAW_MCP_TOKEN="the-token-from-the-message"

If you are Codex

Edit ~/.codex/config.toml. Keep every other server and setting. If [mcp_servers.z-claw] is already there, replace only that table. Otherwise add it:

[mcp_servers.z-claw]
url = "https://z-claw.zooly.ai/mcp"
bearer_token_env_var = "ZCLAW_MCP_TOKEN"
tool_timeout_sec = 120

If skills are not already enabled, also set skills = true under [features] without removing other feature flags.

Install the skill. Overwrite it if it is already there.

mkdir -p ~/.codex/skills/z-claw
curl -fsSL https://z-claw.zooly.ai/setup/skill/SKILL.md \
  -o ~/.codex/skills/z-claw/SKILL.md

Confirm, without printing the token, that the config points z-claw at https://z-claw.zooly.ai/mcp, the shell profile sets a non-empty ZCLAW_MCP_TOKEN, and the skill name is z-claw. Then tell the person to quit Codex and open it again from a new terminal. This session cannot see the new server or the skill.

If you are Claude

Claude Code

Register the server for this user. Keep the ${ZCLAW_MCP_TOKEN} text as written. Do not expand it, and do not put the token in the command you show back.

claude mcp add-json --scope user z-claw \
  '{"type":"http","url":"https://z-claw.zooly.ai/mcp","headers":{"Authorization":"Bearer ${ZCLAW_MCP_TOKEN}"}}'

Install the skill. Overwrite it if it is already there.

mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/z-claw
curl -fsSL https://z-claw.zooly.ai/setup/skill/SKILL.md \
  -o ~/.claude/skills/z-claw/SKILL.md

Read that file after you save it. From then on, follow it for Zooly jobs. Tell the person to quit Claude Code and open it again from a new terminal.

Claude chat

If you are the Claude chat app and cannot write their files, tell them to open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. The name is z-claw. The URL is https://z-claw.zooly.ai/mcp. The header name is Authorization. The header value is Bearer followed by the token they just sent you. Do not repeat the token. This chat does not install the skill file. After the connector is on, follow the same job rules as the skill: never open a GitHub issue, and use Jira for issues; start the job, keep checking until it finishes, and bring the answer back here.

What the machine does

BizDev stays in the chat. The machine reads the Zooly code and the database, runs a script, and returns a chart link when there is one. A spreadsheet, PDF, or photo attached in the chat does not arrive. The skill gives them one upload link instead.
